‘Pump Performance’ is a powerful, easy to use and accurate tool that provides a professional estimate of a piping system’s resulting flow or power requirement to achieve a desire flow. This app helps in the design and selection of pumps, as well as to identify the operating point of a specific pump. If various pumps are available, each performance curve can be inputted separately in order to assess which pump fits better into the piping system. ‘Pump Performance’ is very flexible and allows to manipulate the following system characteristics:
1. Fluid temperature
2. Suction pipe size and schedule
3. Discharge pipe size and schedule
4. Suction pipe length
5. Discharge pipe length
6. Fitting and valve friction losses on both, suction and discharge side
7. Suction fluid level elevation or pressure source elevation
8. Discharge fluid level elevation or pressure source elevation
9. Pressure exerted at water level or pressure source on both, suction and discharge side
10. Pump elevation
As such, an in depth analysis is possible since each parameter can be changed separately to asses their effect in the piping system.
Fluid Properties:
Water properties are available for water at temperatures between 0 -100 C (32-212 F).
Pipe Dimensions:
Pipe data for Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) between 1/8” and 36” for Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel and Stainless Steel are extracted from ANSI B36.10 and B36.19.
